Today I am excited to share my last post from my recent trip to Maui, Hawaii. With retro on the return, it was one of my favorite pieces to wear. So much so that I thought I would create this post around the idea of how to pack for a summer beach weekend. So, here it goes:

  • Select a color palette so that everything you packs effortlessly works together. I find that white, cream, and khaki with a pop of orange is an easy color palette to mix and match with. As you start to pack, lay out what you plan to bring so you can see what works together.
  • Next come the accessories. I like to pack a flat sandals for the beach, a wedge sandal for evening cocktails or dinner, a brimmed hat, sunglasses, a cross-body bag, a stack of gold bracelets and layering necklaces.
  • In addition to the basics, fill your toiletry bag with sunscreen, a tinted moisturizer, and lip balm with an SPF.
  • If I am arriving by plan, I like to use an extra-large tote bag as my carry-on, which then doubles as my beach bag once I land.

Today's outfit definitely checks a lot of boxes on the list above. Plus, it is a romper, which I can't say enough good things about. However, this rust orange romper isn't your average romper. With its off-the-shoulder design, slit chest, and belt that cinches around the waist, its unique features make it such a playful piece to wear. I opted to pair the retro rompers with my favorite espadrille wedge sandals, frayed edge straw hat and rounded sunglasses!
