Photo Diary: Salt Lake City, Utah! Just wanted to share a few snapshots from my recent trip to Salt Lake City, Utah. While in town, I made the my way to the the Great Salt Lake and Spiral Jetty, something I had always wanted to see in person since learning about the artwork in Art History class during my undergraduate studies. After the two hour drive and navigating dirt roads, what I found myself looking at was more unbelievable and more beautiful than I had ever expected. The pinkish great salt lake against the pale blue sky sprinkled with white salt "icecaps" looked liked nothing I had ever seen before and I instantly realized why this spectacular Land Art piece was created with disregard for it's remote location to the public. Let's just say the drive is highly worth it and a must-do the next time you find yourself in the area.
